Guild Assists Members to Extract Value from Professional Services
As the landscape of community pharmacy continues to change, pharmacies are becoming increasingly compelled to find new ways of capturing value outside of the dispensary.
One such opportunity exists with the establishment of a private consultation room, to provide Professional services and 6CPA programs.
Pharmacy Guild Queensland President Tim Logan said that local Pharmacy Business Support Team is encouraging members to implement these private areas.
“The Federal Budget has recognised the vital role of community pharmacy in our health system, with a funded package of measures which will provide a revenue boost and professional opportunities for pharmacies,” Mr Logan said.
“By converting an underutilised area of the pharmacy into a consult room, pharmacies could generate additional income through newly expanded 6CPA programs, such as MedsChecks and Diabetes MedsChecks.
“To implement a MedsCheck, members must follow specific program rules, including some important guidelines regarding privacy. The Queensland Pharmacy Business Support team can help members understand and action these guidelines
“There has never been a better time to establish a consult room. We encourage members to utilise this exciting opportunity to grow their pharmacy business and expand the health service benefits to your customers, “Mr Logan said.
With over 80 years of combined experience, the Queensland Pharmacy Business Support team provides a range of support services and tools to assist members remain viable in a changing landscape.
