Less than one week until the pharmacy industry comes together at APP to refresh their knowledge
Community pharmacy professionals from across Australia will be coming together at APP next week on 24-27 March to recharge their batteries, reconnect with colleagues and of course, refresh their knowledge.
APP022 Conference Convenor Kos Sclavos AM said the conference program is a unique opportunity for the entire industry to choose from over 60 sessions, where experts from a range of different professions will share their knowledge across clinical, business, innovation and leadership.
“APP’s diverse and quality education is for the entire industry – pharmacists, pharmacy students, early career pharmacists, pharmacy assistants and people in the wider industry.”
“Attendees will be able to hear industry updates first-hand from Federal politicians, including Hon Greg Hunt MP, Federal Minister for Health and Aged Care and Hon Mark Butler MP, Shadow Minister for Health and Aged Care.”
“They will also receive updates from Dr John Gerrard, Queensland’s Chief Health Officer and Dr. Lisa Nissen, Professor and Head of School of Clinical Sciences, Queensland University of Technology.” “Experts are travelling to APP not just from around Australia but internationally,” said Mr Sclavos, “Professor Ross Tsuyuki, full scope of practice expert, is flying in from Canada just for APP.”
“Attendees can find inspiration in the story told by many of APP’s speakers, including futurist Mark McCrindle, Academy Award-nominated screenwriter and novelist Luke Davies and former Young Australian of the Year, Lucas Patchett.”
“There are also some inspiring pre-conference workshops, including the Australasian College of Pharmacy’s leading change and innovation workshop on Wednesday 23 March,” said Mr. Sclavos, “but book quickly as places are limited.”
“If you haven’t had a chance to already, take a look at my top 20 sessions for APP.”
“There will be something for everyone – download the program now to start mapping your APP educational experience.”
Once again, APP will be providing diverse and quality education to all delegates. For the pharmacists attending, the activities at the APP2022 conference have been accredited for a total of up to 24.5hrs of Group 1 CPD (or 24.5 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan which can be converted to up to 23.75hrs of Group 2 CPD (or 47.5 CPD credits) upon successful completion of relevant assessment activities. The overarching accreditation number for the conference is: A2203APP0.
“There’s still time to register to ensure you get to hear from these amazing speakers. See you at APP on the Gold Coast.”
