PA2024: Registrations now open/Early bird now on sale

Guild Events Committee Member and Community Pharmacy Owner, Lucy Walker has reminded all pharmacies that registrations are on sale and early bird pricing is now available for this year’s Pharmacy Assistant National Conference (PA2024), which is being held 5-7 September in Sydney.

Ms Walker said that the conference delivers high value education for pharmacy assistants and that pharmacies that value their staff should consider registering them for the event.

“Each year I send two to three of my pharmacy assistants as the conference provides unique opportunities for staff to enhance their skills, expand their knowledge and create lasting connections,” Ms Walker said.

“Staff who have attended the conference in the past have returned feeling motivated and inspired, which is a great benefit to my pharmacy.”

“I also use the conference as a reward for hard-working staff who have gone above and beyond during the year.”

The PA Conference is an annual conference hosted by The Pharmacy Guild of Australia and takes place over two and a half days. The event includes a three-hour Refresher Training Workshop and product update, motivational and management focussed sessions, plus a 70-stand trade exhibition and two exciting social events.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year (PATY) Award National Winner is also announced and celebrated at the conference, which Ms Walker said is a fantastic opportunity for pharmacy assistants to learn from ‘the best of the best’.

“The PATY Award showcases outstanding skills, knowledge and leadership skills and exposes pharmacy assistant delegates to excellence,” Ms Walker said.

“Having the opportunity to hear from the eight PATY Award State Finalists during the conference program is very inspiring and has definitely motivated my pharmacy assistants who have attended previous conferences to aim higher.”

Early bird registration for the PA Conference closes 30 June. A full program will be available in late May. For further details and to register your staff, visit https://pharmacy-connect.com.au/pharmacy-assistant.
