Wizard hits magical half-a-million-dollar milestone for Starlight
Wizard Pharmacy has set a new – record for their donations to Starlight Children’s Foundation, raising $56,600 during their annual Starlight Giving Tree Appeal, which ran in-store over Christmas.
The milestone donation sees them hit half a million dollars in donations over the course of their 13-year partnership which has provided 13,5000 sick kids with access the Starlight Express Rooms at Perth, Darwin, and Adelaide’s Children’s Hospital.
Starlight Children’s Foundation State Partnership Manager (WA/NT) Cath Petsos spoke about how the 13-year partnership between Wizard Pharmacy and Starlight has brought a lot of fun, joy and laughter to sick kids and their families.
“Since the inception of Wizard Pharmacy’s very special partnership with Starlight, Wizard has been driven to improve, grow and innovate their fundraising support to help sick kids.
This incredible gift of giving from the team at Wizard and its community will help Starlight bring happiness to sick kids and their families through our vital hospital programs.
The work Starlight does is only possible through the generosity of the community and corporate partners like Wizard Pharmacy, and we look forward to continuing this long and exciting partnership to help brighten the lives of sick kids,” said Petsos.
After 13 years of partnership and record-breaking donations, Chief Executive Officer Lyndon Dyson said that the ability to contribute to Starlight is part of the Wizard Pharmacy DNA and they take it very seriously that their actions can assist in delivering their vision of improving the quality of life.
“Our Wizard Pharmacy teams have been amazing with their engagement and support of Starlight.
They have engaged in “competitive fun” to see which pharmacy team could take on the bragging rights for raising the most money on any day of any week during this promotion,” said Dyson.
Wizard Pharmacy Livingston and Geraldton owner Peter Santos spoke about how his team perceives the significance of the partnership.
“Some of our employees have been personally touched by the Starlight and this passion is shared upon other team members.
This partnership shows our commitment to making a difference in the lives of others,” said Santos.
